Kirkpatrick Concrete’s Central Division has hit a new milestone, reaching the 50-mixer mark in 2023. The majority of the delivery fleet (33 trucks) are less than three years old with the balance made of up of fifteen 2015 mixers. The two oldest trucks are 2006 models in good operational condition.
The cement distribution network for National Cement Company of Alabama now includes terminals at Stockbridge, GA, Dickson,TN and expansions at Greenville, SC and Jefferson, GA. An additional operation near Nashville is planned for Lebanon, TN.
Type 1L is a blended cement with a higher limestone content which results in an average carbon footprint reduction of 10%. The product works the same, measures the same, and performs the same as traditional Type 1 cement, but responds to growing calls for reducing embodied carbon associated with construction.
In October 2023, National Cement’s cutting-edge facility in Ragland, AL, significantly advanced its operations by achieving a clinker production milestone of one million tons. This achievement underscores the plant’s substantial progress throughout 2023 and positions it for even greater accomplishments in 2024.
